    Today, we're going to create a new Agent in Copilot Studio.

    Create a vanilla HR Agent in Copilot Studio

    Navigate to[ https://copilotstudio.microsoft.com](https://copilotstudio.microsoft.com)

    Click on [[Create]]

    Click on [[New agent]]

    You will now be presented with the Agent configuration screen.

    Click in the [[Name]] field and name your Agent "HR Agent"

    We will now change the agent icon and click on [[Change icon]]

    Here we can change the icon of the agent. Click [[Change icon]] once more and choose a PNG image file that's less than 30 kilobytes in size. You have been provided with a sample PNG in the file download.

    We can choose a file and click [[Save]]

    Now click in [[Description]] field and give our agent a short description

    Add the text "An HR Agent to answer Employee Questions". This will support the language model in understanding the purpose of the agent.

    Now click in [[Instructions]] field and give our agent instructions that will determine its persona, behaviour, tasks and anything that it shouldn't do.

    Add the text "You are a friendly, helpful, polite HR Agent that will use knowledge to answer questions about HR Policies and Procedures, as well as helping Employees request annual leave. Do not answer questions unrelated to this topic"

    Our agent is ready to be created and we can click on [[Create]]

    Your agent will now be provisioned, you may have to wait.

    With the agent provisioned, click on the test pane inside the [[Ask a question or describe what you need]] field.

    Type "What is Human Resources?" and hit [[enter]]

    Your agent will respond using its General Knowledge.
