Create and Set Marking Guide to an Activity.

Select a gradable activity.

Click "Advanced grading".

Click the dropdown and set it to "Marking guide".

Select one of the two creation options to begin making a marking guide.

Provide a name for the marking guide.

Optionally, provide a description.

Provide a name for the first criterion.

Provide a description for the first criterion which students can see.

Provide a description which markers can use to determine how many points to allocate to this particular criterion.

Provide an maximum score which markers can allocate to this particular criterion.

Additional criterion can be added by clicking "Add criterion" and repeating the previous steps.

Set optional generic comments which markers can provide to students.

Click "Save marking guide and make it ready" to confirm changes.

Click the course name to return to the course main page.
