Creating Bargaining Updates Section and post updates there on UAW SolidWeb

Navigate to your SolidWeb site and log in. If you already have a bargaining updates section created, go [step 11](https://scribehow.com/viewer/Creating_Bargaining_Updates_Section_and_post_updates_there_on_UAW_SolidWeb__cCkQp8rITLeruHKE54HKBQ?scrollToActionId=f502c229), otherwise continue to step 2.

Click "Create"

Click "Add Section"

Click the "Title" field.

Type "Bargaining Updates"

Click here.

Click "Editor editing area: main"

Type a short description of the bargaining updates that are currently going on. For example: "We are currently in negotiations with Daimler Trucks. As we navigate the bargaining process, any updates will be posted here."

Click "Menu settings\ Bargaining Updates" and ensure the section has been added to your menu.

Click the "Save" button.

Click "Create"

Tip! You can set this section up ahead of time, and preface it with " Bargaining coming soon..." if you're waiting on receiving your first update from the bargaining team.

Click "Add Article"

Click the "Title" field.

Type your bargaining update title "Daimler Truck Bargaining Update 2024/08/26"

Click this button.

Click "Shared Library"

Click the "Select uaw.org-banner2.png" field. This is the default "Bargaining Update" graphic. However, if you have a picture of the bargaining team, feel free to use that, so the membership sees front and center who is fighting on their behalf.

Click "Insert selected"

Tip! Most of the time, you'll receive a word document or PDF of the bargaining update. So, you'll likely be pasting that in, and formatting it.

Type in or paste your bargaining update.

If you have created any tags, feel free to add them here.

Tip! SolidWeb gives you many options on displaying your content. Tags are one of those ways to dichotomize your content. Later on, you can use tags to show feeds of content based on tags. Set tags up ahead of time under "Manage" > "Configuration"

On the right hand side of your screen, you'll need to set the section that the article will appear in.

Click "Bargaining Updates"

Click "Save"

Now, check to see that you're bargaining update has been posted. Click "Bargaining Updates"

Tip! Now that you're bargaining update has been posted, you'll want to share it with your membership. Use social media and mass email/text messaging to distribute the update.
