The following series of images in this Scribe include a screenshot of a PC desktop with the Cephable Panel (small window on the right side of the screen with toggles for microphone & camera controls, a summary of app controls for the relevant app, and a menu of global & device controls).  The Cephable main window is in the center of the screen where more in depth settings and configurations can be set for all app functions. Context for each button press, app, and click will be provided in each step.

Cephable comes pre-loaded with app controls for many different apps on your computer. If you're using Cephable Professional or Education or Plus, you'll have access to even more pre built controls too.

The main window & the panel will sync your current app controls. In this image, Microsoft Word are current app controls in both windows. You can also edit and customize your app controls too.

If you have an app where Cephable does not have pre-built controls for it, you can always create your own app controls for it from scratch. Click "Add App Controls" in the main window.

Continue in the main window - Find "Create New App Controls"

You can choose to use the option of including default voice commands for keys and mouse clicks. With this switch ON, your app controls will come with voice commands for every key and mouse button. With it OFF, your app controls start completely empty. Next - if you want Cephable's AI to generate app controls for you - Click "Try Control Generator"

On this page "Generate App Controls" you can type the name of the app you need controls for + the types of inputs you want to use and then click "Generate Controls" - Please see the complete video/step by step guide on this topic for more tips and tricks.

Return back to "Explore App Controls" and Click "Create from Scratch" to learn more about creating & editing custom controls.

Name your app controls for the app you need

Click "Add Control" to get started creating your first control

Select the type of input you want to use - such as Voice Control. Other options include head movements, face expressions, motion controls, and virtual buttons.

Enter/type the voice command you want to use. In this case we use "save". Then, click "next"

Now choose what action you want to give the command. You can press keys/buttons, release them, toggle them, have Cephable type something, move the mouse, speak back audio, or create a multi-step macro.

When choosing to press a key or button you can choose the specific key to press from the drop down.

To create the "save" command we will select "Left Ctrl" from the dropdown

Click "Add Key/Button to Press" to add additional keys to press at the same time.

Click "s" to add it to the list of keys to press.

You can choose how long you want the keys pressed. Here we will just tap it but you can have Cephable press for specific time or hold it down.

Now, you can see your new control. If you want to add more controls to build out your personalized configuration, click "add control"

Choose options like head movement, face expressions, or virtual buttons.

You can also add as many steps to a control output as you want.
