Creating Peplink Firewall Rules to Block Streaming Content

Navigate to <https://incontrol2.peplink.com>
Select the group that you want to apply the policies to

Hover over "Network Settings" and then click "Firewall Rules"

Click the "Manage Firewall Rules on Balance, MAX and FusionHub devices" box.

Ensure the existing device rules setting is set accordingly

Click "Create Rule Set"

Give a name to the policy set

Under "Device Selection," choose how you want to apply this ruleset to your devices

Since we're applying to devices with tags, choose the tag you wish to use to apply the ruleset. Here, we are using \[thepromisedlan\]

Click "Content Blocking"

You can choose "Preset Category" or you can choose individual applications

If you want the content filtering database to update automatically, click the auto update box. \[NOTE: We highly recommend you check this box\]

To select individual applications, under Application Blocking" use the dropdown to select applications or application groups one by one.

To add more than one, click the +

Select additional applications as required

To remove an application, click the trash can next to the application

You can also choose entire categories to block, but make sure you review what applications are in that category to avoid blocking useful applications

When you're satisfied, click "Save"

Click "Save" on the Firewall Rules page

Click "OK" on the warning popup
