Creating a Digital Content Planner

Google Account

Navigate to [https://uaw.org/solidweb/](https://uaw.org/solidweb/resources/#toggle-id-2)

Click "RESOURCES"

Click "Digital Content Planner Kit"

Click "Sign in" using your Google account that you use for your local union business. If you don't have one, you'll have to create one

Right-click "TEMPLATE Digital Content Planner"

Click "Make a copy"

you've copied the digital content template to your account. Click "Show file location" - and it will take you to your Google Drive.

Click "New"

Click "New folder"

Type "Local XXXX Digital Content Planner [[enter]]"

Click "Copy of TEMPLATE Digital Content Planner" and drag it into the folder you just created.

Double-click "Digital Content Planner"

Right-click here.

Click here.

Type "Media"

Click "Create". This folder will be where your Content Stakeholders can upload relevant photos/text/flyers/documents/videos etc. for you to use on your website and social media.

Right-click "Copy of TEMPLATE Digital Content Planner"

Click "Rename"

Rename the template with your local union at the beginning.

Type "Example Local 123"

Click "OK"

Right-click here.

Click "Share"

Click here. Type the email addresses of the Content Coordinator(s) and Website/Social Administrator(s)

Click this icon.

Click "checkEditor" -This means they can edit the document

Click this text field.

Craft your email to send to folks which will share a link with them to the content calendar.

Tip! You can share the "Digital Content Planner" folder in it's entirety if you prefer to the Web/Social Administrators and Content Coordinators and Stakeholders if you prefer. That way it's less links to share. It may be simpler and generally easier as long as everyone is relatively tech savvy. Just know, anyone

Right-click here on the "Media" folder and repeat the process in staps 24-29, but share with the everyone on the team.
