Creating a New App in Xero Developer Platform

Xero

Create an App in Xero

Navigate to <https://developer.xero.com/>

Click "Log in"

If you are already logged in to Xero, you will be automatically logged in, otherwise you will be prompted for your Username and Password at this point.

Click "New app"

Enter a Name in the "App name" field, if you are doing this on a test environment, make sure you put "Test" somewhere in the Name

Ensure "Web app" is selected in the "Integration Type" field.

In the "Company or application URL" field, enter your Businesses Website URL

In the "Redirect URI" field, enter your Businesses Website URL (we will change this one later)

Click the "I have read and agree to the Xero Developer Platform Terms & Conditions" field.

Click "Create app"

Get your Client Id and Client Secret

Click "Configuration"

Click "Generate a secret"

Click the "Copy" button on the Client Id and save this in a text file for later

Click the "Copy" button on the Client Secret and save this in a text file for later
