Creating a Premium-Increasing Endorsement in Ascend with the Veruna Integration

On the policy, create a Policy Change object

Select "Endorsement" as the policy change type

Add a description to the endorsement according to your agency's best practices

Select the endorsement effective date

Enter the amount of additional premium / fees generated from the endorsement

Once the policy change is ready to be created, click "Save"

On the Policy Change object, click "Insert Billings" to create the endorsement billing

Click "Ok"

If you don't have Accounting Seed access, the process ends here. Someone with Accounting Seed access will need to complete the following steps.

From the policy, navigate to the billing you just created

Click "Ascend Checkout" on the billing

In the popup, select as many as 25 related billings to create an Ascend checkout link

If you want to automatically email the link to the insured, click the "Send invoice to insured" checkbox

Once all billings have been selected, click "Create Ascend checkout"

Once the Ascend checkout has been created, three links will be inserted into the billing: 1. **Checkout** - this link can be sent to the insured so they can make their payment 2. **Dashboard** - this will take you to the Ascend dashboard, where you can view the status of the payments and other payment-related information\\ 3. **Invoice** - this will download a PDF invoice that can be sent to the insured

If you didn't select "Send invoice to insured" when you created the Ascend checkout, you can click the "Dashboard" link to enter Ascend and click "Send email" to trigger automated emails to the insured.
