Creating a Studio Quiz in Canvas

Add Questions to the Video

Start in your Studio Dashboard

Click the three dots next to the video title.

Click "Create Quiz"

Enter a title for the Quiz

A description is optional

You can hide the questions from the video timeline so students don't know when the questions will appear in the video.

You can show or hide the timeline markers of any annotations you've added to the video.

Click "Get Started"

Pause the video and click the + sign where you'd like add a question.

Select the question type you'd like to use.

Add the question in the Question Stem box

Enter the answer choices.

You can add additional choices by clicking **+ Answer**

The vary points by answer will not assign the actual number of points to the answer option. It will determine the proportion of the points set in the Canvas assignment that the answer choice will get.

The Shuffle Choices option will shuffle the answer choices every time the quiz is taken.

You have the same feedback options, correct, incorrect, and general that are available in a regular Canvas quiz.

Click "Save" when you're finished

Click "Done"
