    Creating an Invoice and Applying an Existing Credit to the Invoice

    Navigate to your Xero Dashboard

    Click "New sales invoice"

    Enter the name of the customer exactly as it appears in the credit note. (Tip, if you start typing the name, Xero will bring up a list of customers for you to choose from)

    Enter the details of the invoice.

    Click "Approve" once all details have been entered.

    If you have a credit note available for this customer, Xero will bring up the details of the credit note. To apply the credit note to this invoice, click "Allocate"

    Click on the box under "Amount to Credit". Type in the amount of the credit note that you would like to apply to this invoice.

    Click "Allocate Credit"
