If you're learning remotely and see the error below when trying to log into your GCS Chromebook, please follow the steps below.
Which Device Do I Have?

Before you get started, check the tag on the bottom of your device to determine whether it's 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, or 4th Gen. You'll need this information in a moment.
Use the Table of Contents on the left to navigate to the appropriate device.
If Your Device is 2nd Gen

Hold down the "esc" and "refresh" and "power" button all at the same time; this will restart the device.

When you see this screen, press the "ctrl" and "d" keys at the same time.
The "crtl" key is in the bottom left of corner of your keyboard (see previous image).

screen will go black

Tap "Enter" on your keyboard again.

You'll see this screen, then your screen will momentarily turn to black.

Your device will reboot.

Click "Get started."

Choose your home WiFi and log in with any credentials required by your Internet provider.

Click "Done."

Sign in with your GCS Student Number and your GCS password.

Enter your GCS password in both fields.
🎯 Tip: Click in the first field before typing.

Success!

Once logged in, make sure the device is running the most recent updates. At a minimum, the device should be Version 131 or above.

Occasionally you have to repeat this process more than once; be patient, it will work!
