Download Article via Online Access

Enter your search in the "Search@UW" field.

Click the "Go" button

Click on the "Sign In" button in the yellow bar before you look at articles. Signing in will make accessing articles later much easier.

Click the "UWM Students, Faculty, and Staff" button to direct you through an authentication process. It may do this automatically (skip to step 8) OR you may have to enter your UWM email address and password to verify your identity (steps 6-7)

Select your email address to verify your identity. Enter your UWM passwords.

Select a way to verify your identity. After this process, it should direct you back to your search results page in Search@UW.

On the search results page, click an article title that looks interesting to you.

Click "Online Access" (if available)

Click on one of the "view online" links. TIP: check for dates/coverage, this link offers access to articles from 1996 to present so we will be able to access this article that was published in 2014

Each platform will look slightly different - but look for a PDF icon to click to get access to the article. If you do not see it - use our 24/7 chat service to ask for help. When the PDF opens, download it to your computer or cloud storage.
