On the Moodle course page, Click "Edit mode".
Locate and click on the activity or resource you wish to edit.
Click "Settings" to edit the activity or resource.
Make changes as desired, click 'Save and return to course' to confirm and finalise changes.
This next section will provide a basic overview of commonly used settings.
The 'General' tab will allow for changing the name, providing activity instructions and attaching files to the respective activity or resource.
The 'Availability' tab enables teaching staff to set and extend relevant dates such as the due date and cut-off date for an activity such as assignments to be submitted.
The 'Submission types' tab allows the types of ways a submission can be made such as uploading files or videos. Additionally, teaching staff can set the number of files and the file size limits.
The 'Grade' tab enables teaching staff to set the weighting of the activity towards the overall final final a student will receive.
'Group submission settings' can be used if teaching staff create group assignments where only one student is required to submit.
'Restrict access' can be used to only allow certain participants to view the activity or resource. This can be particularly useful if different tutorial groups have different case studies or if a make-up exam is required for certain students.
'Activity completion' can be enabled to allow students to track their progression throughout the course. This can be enabled with the 'course progression' block so students can keep track of what is due.
