Embedding a Cloud Document in Blackboard

Embedding a Cloud Document not only saves space in your Blackboard Course, but it also makes changes and updates easier. Embedded Cloud Documents allow you to make changes, refresh the page, and have those changes visible to all who are in the course. This can be useful for whole class discussions, notes, or tracking of information. This can also be useful for any "living" documents that are subject to change as the your course progresses.

Navigate to [https://blackboard.wichita.edu](https://blackboard.wichita.edu/) and then to your course.

Hover over location where you wish to embed the document. Click on the plus sign that will appear as you hover.

Click "Create" in the drop down menu.

Click "Embedded Cloud Document"

You may have to login in to the Microsoft OneDrive. This is normally all contained within the same browser tab.

Once logged in, navigate folders and files to locate the document you wish to upload.

Click checkbox or document name.

Click "Select"

After clicking "Select," allow Blackboard to load until this screen appears. This screen allows you to designate whether your class can comment and discuss the document.

Click "Save"

Once uploaded, this is how the document will appear.

Click "Hidden from students"

Click "Visible to Students" to give student access.

Once uploaded and made visible to students, your upload should be ready to go!
