    Enter Diet Order (Clinical Sign Off)

      The Clinical Sign Off allows you to prescribe menus to a patient. This information needs to be filled out and signed off before staff are able to take patient orders.\ \ Make sure to read this Scribe fully before performing a clinical sign off, to ensure all steps are followed correctly.

      Navigate to Synbiotix
      Enter your username and password and click "Login"
      Select menuPick
      Click "Wards pending Diet Order"
      You will only be able to view and enter diet orders for wards you have access to
      The sign off will display the next available serving by default. In this example, the next serving is lunch on 5th February 2024
      Click the calendar button to change the date and enter the diet order for a future date, if required
      Click the required ward
      You will see a list of all beds and rooms in the ward, and four fields: Patient Name, Order, Menus and Comments
      Fill out the information for each patient
      Enter the patient name
      Your system configuration may not ask you to enter the patient name
      Select the bed occupancy
      Select the allowed menus.\ \ In this example, Tom will only be able to order from the Standard Menu.
      The patient can only select items from the allowed menus. Any menus not selected won't be visible on the order screen for that particular bed
      Depending on your system settings, you might need to manually select the necessary menus, or the system might automatically include all menus by default. If it includes all menus, you'll need to remove the ones that aren't allowed
      Select the "Special Diet" occupancy for any patients with dietary restrictions
      Select the required special diet menus
