**What are Virtual Networks?**\ \ Azure Virtual Networks (VNets) are software-defined networks in Azure that enable secure communication between Azure resources. They provide isolation, segmentation, and connectivity options for cloud-based services, facilitating scalable and secure architectures.

    3

On the **Virtual networks** dashboard, click on the name **my-first-virtual-network**

    4

Click on the **DDOS protection** from the left bar

**What is DDOS protection?**\ \ DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) protection in Azure defends against malicious attacks that flood a target with excessive traffic, rendering it inaccessible. Azure DDoS Protection mitigates these attacks by monitoring traffic patterns and applying countermeasures to ensure service availability and performance.

    5

**DDoS protection** wizard will open, here you can Enable or Disable the DDoS protection. Click on the **Enable** radio button

    6

You can select an existing DDoS protection plan from the dropdown **Note:** Click on the **Create a DDoS protection plan** link to create a new plan
