    Sign in to **AWS Management Console** as an **IAM User** **Pre-requisite** - Ensure you have selected the AWS region closest to your location\ For this guide, we will be using us-east-2 (Ohio) as a preferred choice

    Type **EC2** in the search bar and click on **EC2** to view the EC2 Dashboard

    On the EC2 dashboard click on **Dedicated Hosts** from the left bar to view the Dedicated Hosts

    **What are Dedicated Hosts in AWS?** Dedicated Hosts in AWS provide physical servers exclusively for a single AWS account. They offer control over instance placement, ensuring isolation for compliance, licensing, and security needs.

    Click on the **Allocate Dedicated Host** button from the top right of the page

    The Allocate Dedicated Host wizard will open. Give a **Name tag** and select the **Instance family** you want to use for the Dedicated Host

    Scroll to the **Instance type** section, then select and choose the **Instance type** to launch into the Dedicated Host

    Scroll to the **Availability Zone** section, then select and choose the **Availability Zone** in which you want the Dedicated Host to be located

    Scroll to the **Quantity** section and specify the **Quantity** of Dedicated Hosts you want for this configuration

    Scroll to the **Tags** section and click on the **Add new tag** button to add a new Tag

    Click on the **Allocate** button to Allocate a Dedicated Host
