Export Module Summer 2025 Updates

This guide provides essential updates on the Kansas EpiTrax Export Module, highlighting new features that enhance data exporting capabilities, including improved search parameters and the ability to export outbreak investigation forms. Users will learn how to efficiently generate and download CSV files, track export statuses, and utilize advanced filtering options for date ranges. This training outlines new functionality added to the Kansas EpiTrax environment for the Export Module. Enhancements include the ability to export outbreak investigation forms, use new search parameters, and export data from repeating form questions. The training also covers the new Export Status feature and explains how to download CSV files from it.

To get started, click [[Exports]] in the top right to navigate to the Export Module.

Navigate to the report you would like to access from the drafts or the public folders. In this training example, we will select the *Measles Export Demo*.

After opening the export, click on the [[Export]] button.

**Tip!** The [[Export]] option will queue EpiTrax to prepare the csv file. The Export Status dialog box will display and show when your export is complete.

The Export Status dialog box will appear. While the system generates the report, the status will display as *Running* in yellow.

The status will update to *Complete* in green once the report has finished generating and then is ready for download.

Next, click on download icon, displayed as down arrow. This will download the csv file to your computer.

Please note, you will not be able to redownload a report that you previously generated. You will need to select the [[Export]] option to download the report.

Please ignore the progress update icon, displayed here as the loop arrow icon. Selecting this option will result in an error message.

The list of reports will clear after you sign off. You may need to scroll down to see your most recent report.

Select the [[X]] icon to close the Export Status window.

To view the status of any of your generated reports select [[Export Status]] to bring up the export status window.

**Tip!** If you receive an error message, try to generate a new report by selecting the [[↓ Export]] button. If you still receive an error message, send a screenshot and the URL to [kdhe.epitraxadmin@ks.gov](mailto:kdhe.epitraxadmin@ks.gov) to troubleshoot.

Click the *filter checkbox* to view the new date filter options. You can choose to filter by specific dates or by an interval.

When using interval filters, you can specify the interval in minutes, days, weeks, months, or years. You can also filter values that are newer or older than the specified interval.
