Once you have downloaded the germplasm import template from DeltaBreed, add your germplasm. Add sequential entry numbers in the "entry no" column. Then, using those entry numbers that you just assigned, fill out the "female parent entry no" and "male parent entry no" columns to show pedigree connections. In this example, Red2 and Blue2 are the parental germplasm to the rest of this list which is representing an animal breeding biparental cross with multiple individual offspring which should all be represented separately in the system with unique GIDs. Notice that since this file has not yet been uploaded in DeltaBreed, there are no GIDs assigned. Using the entry numbers to assign pedigree connections is possible **upon initial import** into DeltaBreed without GIDs.

Create a list name (required). A list description can be added, but is not required. Check the import summary to make sure this information matches the information you are uploading. If duplicate names are detected (like Red2 in this example), the system will assign that germplasm a new GID so make sure that is what you want the system to do before you click "confirm". \ Confirm the upload after you have named the list and checked the import summary.

You can use the search bar at the top to search for specific germplasm or you can sort the germplasm in your program by clicking on any of the categories. You will see an arrow appear next to the category name (notice the arrow next to GID). Note that the new germplasm (ie: Gray2, Black2, etc.) has now been assigned a unique GID by DeltaBreed. There is also GID information listed for the female and male parent. This was created by using the entry numbers in the file that was uploaded into DeltaBreed.
