    Extracting a header and text from a PDF to use on Action Network

    Create an email, and put in everything like you normally do for the Subject:, From:, and Reply To:

    Keep the tab open and continue to the next step.

    Open your PDF or Word Doc and take a screenshot of the header, from the top left, to the bottom right just before the date.

    Tip! To take a screenshot on a Windows PC, use Snipping Tool (you can find Snipping Tool by clicking the start menu and type "Snip" and selecting the program, once the program opens click "+New", wait for the screen to darken, then select the area on your screen you want to capture. Once the capture appears, press "CTRL" + "C" to copy the snip to the clipboard.

    Tip! To take a screenshot on On MacOS computer, press "CTRL" + "COMMAND" + "SHIFT" + "4" then click and drag the area you want to capture. The screenshot will automatically be copied in the clipboard.

    After completing the screenshot and copying it, go back to Action Network

    In the Body of the email, Right Click and Select "Paste"

    Your header will now be uploaded to the body portion of your email in Action Network

    Copy the text from the PDF or Word doc, click the line below the header image and Right click and select "Paste" to place the text into the body . Depending on where you copy the text from, you may want to select "Paste as plain text" or "Paste and match formatting." Either way, you'll have to do some formatting to get the text to display how you want it.

    To make the date align to the right Click "11-8-2024"

    Click "Align"

    Format the rest of the text until you are satisfied with how it shows.

    To see how it turned out, click "SAVE & SEND TEST" to view an test email.

    Continue to format the text until it's finalized. Then continue on to send the email as you normally do.
