      Create A New Slide Deck

      **Creating A New Slide Deck** Navigate to **[[https://slides.google.com/create]]** OR select **Slides** from the Google App area.

      There are a few options for you to select. Click the **Template Gallery** drop down menu to choose from Proximity Learning, Inc templates or General templates. You can also select create a blank presentation.

      Adding A New Slide

      **Adding A New Slide** From the left side navigation, right click where you'd like a new slide. A drop down menu will appear. Click **+New Slide**.

      Adding Text, Image, Shape, Or Line

      **Adding Text, Image, Shape, Or Line** Go to the slide where you want to add a text box or object. At the top, click **Insert** and choose what you'd like to add: **Text box**, **Image**, **Shape**, or **Line**. You can also use the quick menu to select these options. Once added, you can arrange and format the object as needed to fit your slide's design.

At the top, click **Insert** and choose what you'd like to add: **Text box**, **Image**, **Shape**, or **Line**.

You can also use the quick menu to select these options.

Once added, you can arrange and format the object as needed to fit your slide's design.

      Another Way To Insert Images, GIFs, Or Stickers

      **Another Way To Insert Images, GIFs, Or Stickers** Go to the slide where you want to add an image, GIF, or sticker. Click **Insert** > **Image**, then choose where to get your image from: - **Upload from computer**: Add an image saved on your device. - **Search the web**: Find and insert an image directly from the web. - **GIFs and stickers**: Insert a GIF or sticker to make your slide fun. - **Drive**: Use an image saved in your Google Drive. - **Photos**: Insert an image from your Google Photos library. - **By URL**: Add an image or GIF using its URL link.

      Adding Video

      **Adding Video** Select the slide where you'd like to add a video. Click **Insert**, then choose **Video**. Pick your video source: - **Search YouTube** - **By URL** - **Google Drive**\ Click on the video you want to add then click **Select** to add it to your slide.

      Arrange & Align Objects On A Slide

      **Arrange & Align Objects On A Slide** Go to the slide where you want to organize objects. Select the items you want to organize. To select multiple items on a slide you have 2 options: 1. **Click and drag**: Hold down your mouse and drag a box around the items you want to select. 2. **Shift-click**: Hold down the **Shift** key, then click on each item you want to select. Once selected, you can move, resize, or format the items as a group. At the top, click **Arrange**, and choose from these options: - **Order**: Move the object in front of or behind other elements like text, images, or objects. - **Align**: Align the edges of multiple selected objects. - **Distribute**: Evenly space out three or more selected objects. - **Center on page**: Center objects vertically or horizontally on the slide. - **Rotate**: Adjust the object’s orientation. - **Group**: Combine multiple objects into one to easily move and format them together.

      Presenting

      **Presenting** To present the slides, click **Slideshow** in the top right corner of the screen. This will display your slides in full screen for your audience to view.

      Sharing

      **Sharing** To share your slides, click share. You’ll be presented with several options: - **Add people or groups**: Enter email addresses to share the file with specific individuals. - **Permission settings**: Choose whether people can **View**, **Comment**, or **Edit** the slides. - **Copy link**: Generate a shareable link. You can adjust link permissions to: - **Restricted**: Only specific people you invite can access. - **Anyone with the link**: Anyone who has the link can view, comment, or edit, depending on the permissions you set.
      **Sharing**

To share your slides, click share. You’ll be presented with several options:

- **Add people or groups**: Enter email addresses to share the file with specific individuals.

      ### **Advanced Share Settings** - **Prevent editors from changing permissions and sharing**: If you are sharing a file with Editors but don’t want them to share the file with others or change access permissions, you can check this box. - **Disable download, print, and copy for viewers and commenters**: This setting restricts viewers and commenters from downloading, printing, or copying the content of your slides. It’s useful for sensitive information that you want to protect.
      ### **Advanced Share Settings**

- **Prevent editors from changing permissions and sharing**: If you are sharing a file with Editors but don’t want them to share the file with others or change access permissions, you can check this box.
