    7
    Log-in through your Single-Sign-On
    8
**YOUR RESEARCHER PROFILE,**\ Click "Researchers" & "My Profile"\ Note: Most NMU profiles have been created by GrantForward by scraping information from the NMU sites. You may want to edit yours.
    9
TO EDIT YOUR PROFILE\ Click "Edit My Profile"
    10
Enter your information, then click to go to the next section
    11
Note: You can import you publications by clicking "Interest Source" then "Specify a publication webpage" and entering the URL
    12
At the end of your profile, you can select to receive Recommendation Emails based in your Profile information. Then, click "Save This Profile"
    13
**FINDING GRANTS**\ Click "Grants" & "Search Grant Opportunities"
    14
You need to play between Keywords/Phrases (top) and Filters (left). Review your results, and make changes to both Keyword and Filters to hone your search.
    15
A good practice is start as broad as possible. Click "Advanced Keyword Search"
    16
Enter as many keywords and phrases as you can (this will maximize the number of results) and click "Search"
    17
To narrow your search, click on filters. E.g., "Sponsor Types"
    18
Clicking the "+" sign prioritizes that component; clicking the "-" sign eliminates it from your search
    19
Another useful filer is "Grant Types." You should look through all Filters to help narrow your search
    20
As you narrow your search, review results. On the search page, you will find basic information; clicking on the grant program opens a full program description.
