It's important that all urbanest customers complete their Online Check-In before they arrive. The process takes around 10-minutes and can be completed on a mobile device or computer. Students who have booked with UCL via the UCL accommodation team do not need to do this until *after* arrival.

Log on to your [urbanest Portal](https://www.urbanest.com/customer-portal/)
Your username is typically your e-mail address and your password was set by you. If you can't remember your password, simply use the reset function on the login page.

Click "Check-In Online Now!"

Read the introduction and click "Next step"

Update your details, ensuring your information is correct.

Click "Next step"

Selfie time! Read the instructions and click "Show camera"

If your device doesn't have a built-in front-facing camera, you will be given the ability to continue on your phone. By clicking 'Continue on my phone', our system will send you an e-mail with a OTP to continue the process on your mobile phone.

Please ensure your picture is clear and is of the person living at urbanest. We will only use this picture to: 1. Compare to your previously uploaded photo ID. 2. Verify your identity when you arrive. 3. Verify your identity if you lose your key or get locked out without ID on your person.

Once you have taken your selfie, simply click 'Next step' and continue through your health & safety checks.

Once the process is complete, you will see a confirmation message on your screen.
