      Log into HARO at [https://app.helpareporter.com/users/login](https://app.helpareporter.com/users/login)
Use the username/password stored in the Blogsmith Intranet project > Passwords (HARO).
Submit a query in "My Queries". To submit a query for experts to answer, click "My Queries". "My Pitches" displays queries that I've responded to as an expert. People, myself included, respond to HARO queries for the opportunity to be featured in industry publications and build backlinks.
Look through "Current Queries" for guidance. Past queries can provide some guidance regarding how to format a HARO request. Look through past examples and how they performed in terms of quality responses.
Start with a clear title that gets to the point. The reader shouldn't have to read the entire query to understand if this is likely to be relevant to them.
Write a query designed to answer important questions. Your query should pose several specific questions that will add value to your article. What would a reader want to know about the subject? Especially if they had a chance to go through a Q&A session with experts? Ask questions on behalf of the reader's best interests. It's recommended that you make some questions required and others optional to increase the likelihood that you get good responses.
Qualify responses with Requirements. If you don't add qualifiers (i.e. must have been in business 10 years, must be earning $10,000 per month, must have a degree in business, etc.), then you're going to get a million responses to weed through. Set requirements appropriate for the topic.
Add outlet information. The outlet URL should link to the outlet's blog.
Click "Submit Query" to start a new query.
Fill out all necessary information about the outlet, query, requirements, etc.
Request a specific date in the near future for your query to run in HARO's thrice daily newsletter. Note: I'm unsure they can realistically do faster than 24 hour turnaround once requested, so take this step as early as possible in the content creation process.
Set a category (typically, business) and a secondary category if appropriate.
Add a very specific due date for when you can accept pitches (ideally, up to 12-24 hours before the draft is due). Then hit "Submit Query" and check back under "My Queries" for answers to roll in!

Want to make guides like this in seconds? Yes, it's really that fast.
