Click on the name of your timeline database view.

Give your sub and parent item a name.

You can create sub-tasks directly from this newly added 'Sub-task' property. Just type the name of your task and hit 'Enter', or select from existing tasks in your database to assign them as sub-tasks.

To add multiple sub-tasks to the same parent task, hit the '+' icon. To remove a sub-task, hit the '-' icon.

Click the toggle icon to show your sub-tasks.. Except, oh no! These sub-tasks don't have a date property assigned, so they won't show up in your timeline... we can fix that though.

Click into your sub-tasks in the same place you added them, from the sub-task property of your parent task.

Give your sub-task a date property (for example 'Due').

After adding a date for your sub-items, you'll be able to drag and arrange them on your timeline :)
