Type in the name of the course you want to add a module to.

Click on the Course's Title that you want to add a module to. 

Under the Common Course Module Properties section, you'll notice the module name you entered on the previous page will autopopulate here. You may change this if you wish. This is the name admin and users will see for the module.

Leave the completion rule as the default to keep the observation checklist module required for the course.

Students must complete this Course Module in order to complete the course.
This Course Module is optional for students.

You can also leave the “Module Access by Students’ as the default if want users to have access to the checklist.

This Module is available to students.
This Module is NOT visible to students.
This Module is locked until x day(s) after the student's course enrollment date.
This Module is locked until x day(s) after the previous module was completed/passed by the student.
This Module is available between a fixed start and end date

Enter a due date and time by typing in the box or selecting a choice from the calendar and clock respectively. You can leave it blank if there is no specific due date. You wouldn't want to put anything here if this is more than a one-time event. 

Enter the percent the observation checklist module has on the overall score for the course. The percentage will vary depending on the number of required items for the course. For example, if this is one of two requirements, the percent was be set to 50, but if this was the only requirement this would be 100.

You may leave the "Use System Session Timeout" option as the default or change to a custom timeout in minutes. 

Select this option if you want the next module of the course to automatically load once the student completes this module.

Automatically Load the next Course Module when this Module is Completed/Passed by the Student

Leave this option unchecked (currently unavailable).

Send Notification when this Module is Completed

Select this if you want this module to be locked until previous modules are completed. This is useful if users are completing the course in a specific order.

This Module is Locked Until Previous Module(s) are Completed

Selecting this allows you to share this module with other courses.

This Module can be Shared in Other Courses

If it is shared, you can enter notes about the module for other administrators to view.

Under the Assessment Properties, you'll notice the Assessment Type is automatically listed as "Observation Checklist".
