Set Up Your Profile On The Application Portal

Click "Create Account / Login".
Click "Sign in".
If you have used this Football Foundation portal previously, enter your email and password and click "Sign in". If this is the first time you are applying for a Football Foundation grant, you will need to click "Sign up now" to register your email address and set a password. *Please note that the Football Foundation developed a new portal in December 2024. If you used the old portal prior to this, you will need to click "Sign up now" and set up a new account, but in this instance, please ensure you use the same email address connected to any previous applications or existing grants.* **Your secondary signatory will need to sign up to this portal too before you can submit your application. Both the main applicant and the secondary signatory if part of a football club will need to be listed as the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer of the club in the FA Club Portal.**
If your organisation is not already listed, click "Add Organisation" and search your organisation or add a new one if it isn't searchable in the database. You may need to wait 72 hours for your organisation to be verified if the status says "Pending". This will happen automatically so keep checking back. If the status has not changed to verified, please email [enquiries@footballfoundation.org.uk](mailto:enquiries@footballfoundation.org.uk).
Once the organisation is listed and verified, you can click on the arrow and select "Manage Organisation".
You will then need to add the individual who will be the secondary signatory on the application. Click "Add Contact" if they are not already listed. Please note, when you have added the contact, they will not appear in the list until they have signed up to the portal using the same email address and been verified. The verification will happen automatically, but if you have any issues with this, contact [enquiries@footballfoundation.org.uk.](mailto:enquiries@footballfoundation.org.uk)
You will also need to add your organisation's bank account details by clicking "Add Bank Account" if it is not already listed.

Start Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund Application

When you have completed the following tasks you can then click "Apply Now". - Added your organisation - Added your secondary contact to your organisation - Added your bank account details to your organisation

Click the "I confirm I have read through all the information on our website for the funding opportunities I am applying for." field and enter your PitchPower Assessment Report ID number. This number will be found on the front cover of your most recent PitchPower Assessment Report.
Details of your project should start to pre populate and you will then need to confirm some of your eligibility. When you have done this click "Save & Continue"
Complete details of your organisation including organisation address and the primary and secondary contact. **Reminder that for football clubs, the two contacts must be listed in the FA Club Portal as the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer of the club. Applications received by alternative roles within the club will be rejected by the Football Foundation.**
Select the County FA the organisation is affiliated to. For organisations in Bromley or Bexley this may be Kent FA or London FA. If there is a partner club or league involved in this application, please add them at this point. **If your organisation type is a town or parish council, education establishment or a charity, you will need to add a community club or league who use the site. E.g. Hamstreet Sports Association as the applicant would need to add Hamstreet FC as a partner club.**
Explain how your project will support community, grassroots football? Something as simple as "Improved pitches will enable us to cater for additional matchplay each week including a new girls team." would suffice if your organisation is a community club. Organisations who are not clubs or leagues may need to explain a bit more here about how community clubs will benefit from the work on the site.
Joint applicants can be added to the application at this point. Please note that joint applicants will be equally liable for adhering to the grant terms and conditions as well as providing any applicant contribution. The joint applicant will still need to be one of the eligible organisations. When completed, click Save & Continue.
