    Click "Create Risk Assessment"

    Select the team who will own and manage this risk assessment. Only members of this team will be allowed to edit and update this risk assessment, and see who has acknowledged it.

    Give your risk assessment a meaningful title

    Provide a category for your risk assessment. This helps your staff to find it more easily later on.

    Give your risk assessment a detailed description. This is where you can include details like the location, references to any supporting documentation or policies, as well as general commentary on the activities covered by this risk assessment.

    Finally, select the teams to whom wish to distribute this risk assessment. All members of these teams will receive a notification that a new risk assessment is available once you publish it, and you'll be able to track their acknowledgement status.

    Click on "Next: Hazards" to begin the process of adding hazard information to your risk assessment.

    Click "Add Hazard"

    Provide a clear description of the hazard you wish to document.

    Provide details on the consequences of the hazard, for example, musculoskeletal injuries.

    Now you can select the risk level **before** controls are applied. This is the existing risk likelihood and severity before any remedial action is taken.

    You can indicate both the Severity and Likelihood in one step from the risk matrix.

    When you're happy that you've finished describing the hazard, press **Add**.

    Now it's time to document your existing safety controls. These are the policies, practice and countermeasures you already have in place to reduce or eliminate the hazard in question.\ \ Click "Add Safety Control" to begin...

    Add a clear and understandable description of the safety control that is in place.

    You can add multiple controls by choosing **Add Another**. When you're done, press **Add** on your last control.

    Now select the **Risk After Controls** to indicate how the safety controls have reduced the risk of this hazard.

    Risk assessment is not just about the controls in place, but also about any follow-up measures you are going to take. You can record these follow-up actions here:

    Describe the follow-up action, and choose a suitable due date by which works must be complete.
