How To Export Files From The DRE

Learn how to create a request to securely export data and files from your DRE workspace using the Airlock feature.

Click "*View files*" under the "**Files**" dropdown.

Choose all the files you want to include in your Airlock request by using the selection boxes on the left.

Click "*Airlock*".

If you want to add more files or datasets to your request at this point, you can do so by clicking the relevant button here.

Once you have completed your selections, click "*Next*".

You can choose whether you want to download the data, or have it copied to another workspace you have permissions for.

Then enter a reason for your request (to be reviewed by an administrator) before selecting "*Request approval*".

Under the **Activity** tab, you will see your Airlock request. It will initially be listed as "Airlock - Requested" while it is awaiting approval.

Once approved, you will see an option to "*Download*" your requested data.

You will then be asked to confirm your download, while accepting the relevant terms & conditions.
