Navigate to <https://smccd.instructure.com/>

Find and select the course you would like to export

From the left-side course navigation menu, select "Settings"

On the right-side menu, select "Export Course Content"

Make sure "Course" is selected under Export Type, then select "Create Export"

Canvas will immediately start to export the entire course. You can leave this page and Canvas will still continue exporting.

Content Exports

Content export files cannot be downloaded after 30 days.

The export process has started. This can take a while for large courses. You can leave the page and you'll get an email when the export is complete.

Once your export file has been created, under Content Exports, select "New Export". This will download the export file onto your device.

If you have trouble locating the file on your device, look for a file with ".imscc"  listed as its file type.

You can then share this export file with others via email, Dropbox, or other external methods.
