Making Pie Charts in Tableau can be frustrating. Especially when Tableau doesn't realize that's what you want immediately. In this example we will look at what fraction of orders are profitable.
Once your dataset is loaded, click the Marks section where you will input the metrics you want to calcuate.
"COUNTD([Order Id])" to count all the orders made.
Next we want to make sure we're trying to make a pie chart. Click on the drop down menu to change from Automatic.
Select "Pie"
