Prepare your metadata. XLS-24 is the current proposed standard. Use this to format your metadata based on what type of schema and file type you are wanting to mint: [https://github.com/XRPLF/XRPL-Standards/discussions/69](https://github.com/XRPLF/XRPL-Standards/discussions/69)

Navigate to [https://nft.storage/](https://nft.storage/) and login with "GitHub" or enter your email. Click the Files tab and upload your NFT files.

Update your metadata fields for image, video, animation, or file with the new CID(s) of your uploaded IPFS file(s), then repeat the steps and upload your metadata JSON file to IPFS, too. You should then have at least two or more IPFS CIDs - the ones for your object file(s) and one for the metadata.

Navigate to xrpl.services/tools Click "Raw JSON Transactions" Click the dropdown menu to choose the "NFTokenMint" template.

Click "Sign in with XUMM" and scan the QR code that pops up with your XUMM app on your phone. Copy the address you are logged in with. Replace the Account field with your own account.

Set your Transfer Fee. Valid values for this field are between 0 and 50000 inclusive, allowing transfer rates of between 0.00% and 50.00% in increments of 0.001.

Under "NFTokenTaxon" enter a numerical value that will group or identify the collection by issuer address and Taxon.

Delete the entire "Memos" field and add a comma after the URI field that you just pasted your metadata string conversion into. This will cause a Memo option to pop up when you send the transaction to XUMM, which is much simpler and easier than using the string converter again.

Alert! Only change the flags if you wish to alter these properties: 8 - Transferrable, 2 - Only XRP can be exchanged for the NFT, 1 - Burnable by issuer no matter who owns it.

Switch tabs to the "Online String to Hex Converter Tool" [https://string-functions.com/string-hex.aspx](https://string-functions.com/string-hex.aspx) Click the text input field. Copy and paste the IPFS address of the metadata for your NFT. (Using the full https gateway address usually works best for rendering on marketplaces - example: https://bafkreibjenfgjt4gguohnajabbth5cgyxx2exghoi3kcmkcpjn7a3xqjaa.ipfs.nftstorage.link/) Click Convert! Click this field and copy the hexadecimal conversion.

Replace the hexadecimal string in the URI field with your own.

View your transaction by navigating to [https://livenet.xrpl.org/](https://livenet.xrpl.org/) Click the "Search by Address, Ledger or Txn" field and paste your address. Confirm your last transaction minted the NFT :) You can view the metadata IPFS info under the URI field.

Click "Send Transaction to XUMM", add a "Memo" (optional), and click "Confirm". Scan the QR code that pops up with your XUMM wallet and sign the transaction.
