First decide how you will be running your heatmap. The MY GMB tab will pull from your integrated GMB's. If you want to run a heatmap for a GMB that is not integrated in LS. You can choose the Map URL, Google, or Place ID tabs.
If you are using the MY GMB tab, click the choose a place dropdown and select the GMB you wish to run the search for. If you are using a different tab such as the Map URL, simply paste in the URL of the GMB into this bar.
Now enter in the keyword or keywords you will be running this search for. You can enter in multiple keywords into this box by separating them with commas.
Then select the distance between points this grid will cover. If you select 1 mile, then each node on the map will be 1 mile apart.
Now lets select the grid size. Please note, using a larger grid size will not cost any additional credits.
You can also draw a custom grid shape by selecting this icon
Here is an example of how powerful the custom grid tool can be for areas that are surrounded by water.
Click the "Address, City, Zip Code" field.
If you select the save grid box, you will be able to use this same grid later on for any GMB. For example, if you have several GMB's that are in the same place and you draw a custom grid, you may not want to re-draw that grid every time you run a new heatmap. If you save it as a grid, then you can simply load that already saved grid.
If your heatmap is not centered properly and you have to enter a custom address in the Move Map field, then you can also select this box that will save this address as the new default position.
Now that we have everything configured, we can run the heatmap.
If you had select the save configuration or the save grid box, then you will need to name them before the heatmap runs.
That's it! Your heatmap will now run and you will be able to find your heatmap history by scrolling down from this page.
