It's easier to update rates when derived, but if you have two groups of derived rates (one for OTAs and another for the booking engine), you can change the prices and restrictions in one group without changing the others. This way, you can manage different conditions and prices depending on the season.
Click on the My Property module.
Click on +New Rate from your chosen Category.
Fill in the name of your rate plan.
Fill in the unique selling point.
    Fill in the occupancy amount.
Choose which rate you want to modify.
Select the currency or percentage for the amount you will add to the base rate.
Enter the amount you are going to add to the base rate.
Please indicate whether you would like to receive a prepayment for the booking and specify the amount in percentage.
Select whether you want your rate to show in the booking engine.
Select whether you want to include Breakfast in the price.
    Click "SAVE"
Once you click save, you will see that the light grey rate is derived from the rate in bold, showing that 1 Guest, including Breakfast, is added to one guest room only.
You can also create separate rates for your booking channels and derive non-refundable rates.
**Tip!** Under your Categories tab, you can have an overview of your derived rates.
    The icon reflects Breakfast included.
The icon reflects that Breakfast is not included.
The icon reflects that the rate is visible on your booking engine.
The icon reflects that the rate is not visible on your booking engine.
