    Tip! You can organize your document with text styles like titles, headings, and a table of contents. You can customize the font and size of the text styles and set your styles as defaults.

    Change the Text Style

    On your computer, navigate to [Google Docs ](https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/) and open a document

    Select the text you want to change.

    Click "Normal text" to see all the options available: Normal text, Title, Subtitle, and Heading 1-6.

    Click “Title” > “Apply ‘Title’” to make your text a Title.

    You can change it again by clicking one more time as shown.

    Click "Heading 1" > “Apply ‘Heading 1’”

    And that’s it! The changes apply automatically.

    Another way of adding a title or a heading is by clicking "Format"
