      How to access the Inventory of Personal Effects section

      Log onto [app.unv.org](http://app.unv.org) and navigate to the assignment page

      **Click "Inventory of personal effects" to view your current inventory list.** This section contains all the items you have previously added.

      How to Add a New Item to the Inventory

      You should group low value inventory items together. For example, add an item 'clothing' and list items in the description. High value items such as electronics should have their own record in the list.

      Click "**Add item to inventory"** to begin adding a new personal effect.

      Click "**category**" field to open the category dropdown menu and select appropriate of the item

      Provide details such as **description** of the item

      Select the **year** the item was purchased

      Click the "**Place of Purchase**" field to provide the city and country where the item was purchased.

      Click the **"Value in USD**" field to type the cost of the item in USD.

      Click "**Add item**" to save the new entry to your inventory list.

      To Add Another Item, Click "**Add item to inventory**" and repeat the process for each new item you want to add.

      Once all fields have been filled Click "**Add item"**

      Add any **additional comments** if necessary.

      Click the **checkbox** to solemnly declare that the items and descriptions are accurate.

      Click **"Submit"** to finalize and save your updated inventory list.

      A message pop up will show that the item/s have been successfully added

      Important Tips and Warnings

      - **You cannot edit items in the inventory:** If you try to use the edit button and make changes to the existing item details, you will get an error.
