How to Add a Substitute Caller ID/Forwarded Number

Navigate to [https://service.ringcentral.com/application/adminHome/?postEmailLogin=true](https://service.ringcentral.com/application/adminHome/?postEmailLogin=true)

Click "Phone System"

Click "Phone Numbers"

Click "All Numbers"

Click here.

Click "Add substitute caller ID/forwarded number"

Enter the external phone number

Click "Next"

Review the numbers then Click "Next"

Select the number and assign it to Auto Receptionist. This will allow multiple users to have this External number show as their caller ID. If only one user, assign it to that user's extension.

Click "Next"

Click "Start" to begin the application process.

Click "Next"

Upload the latest invoice from the customer's phone number provider. This proves that they own the external number. Click next.

Click "Download agreement". This needs to be reviewed and signed by the customer.

Click "Save progress". You can find the saved order under the Number Requests menu.

Click "OK"

Call or submit a ticket with RingCentral to request the User ID. This cannot be found in the Admin Portal.
