      How to Automap a Merit Template

      **Before automapping a merit template:** Ensure a merit template is created and published. Search in the [help center ](https://knowledge.merits.com/)*How to Create a Merit Template* if it has not.
      Navigate to <https://admin.merits.com>
      Click "Create & Configure" at the top-right of the screen
      Click "Templates"
      Click "View" next to the newly created merit template. Note: This is a good time to ensure your template is Live as highlighted
      Click "Automap"
      In the "Source" column select each dropdown that corresponds with the "Field name"
      For example, click "First Name" as the Source for the First Name field.
      Continue until all fields are appropriately mapped
      Once finished click "Save" at the bottom-right of the screen
      Click "Ok" to confirm
      Congrats! Your merit template is now mapped to a data source. Continue to see how to upload a CSV to your data source to send merits.

      Send Merits

      Click "Create & Configure" at the top-right of the screen
      Click "Data Sources"
      Click "View" next to the data source you would like to send merits from
      Click "Upload file"
      Click "browse" and select your CSV file that corresponds with this data source
      Once uploaded, click "Save"
