To access the Google Slides application, simply click on the "Slides" option

Open the specific Google Slides presentation that you wish to share with others as a forced copy

In the left-hand slide navigation panel, click on the slide where you want to change the background
Tip!
If you want to apply the background to multiple slides:
- Hold down the **Shift** key, and click on each slide you want to select.
- Alternatively, press **Ctrl + A** (Windows) or **Command + A** (Mac) to select all slides

With the desired slide(s) selected, locate the "Background" button in the toolbar at the top of the screen. It’s usually near the "Theme" and "Layout" buttons

If you don’t see the button, click on **Slide** in the top menu, then select **Change background** from the dropdown menu

Once the Background window opens, you’ll have several customization options

#### **Option 1: Solid Color Background**
1. Click on the **Color** dropdown menu.
2. Select a solid color from the palette.
3. If you want more specific colors, click **Custom** to access the color picker. You can choose from a spectrum or enter a HEX code for precise colors.

#### **Option 2: Gradient Background**
1. In the same **Color** menu, scroll down to find **Gradients**
2. Choose from preset gradients or create a custom gradient by clicking on **Custom** in the gradient section

#### **Option 3: Custom Color**
1. Scroll down the color menu and click on **Custom** at the bottom of the palette
2. A color picker will appear. You can:
1. Use the spectrum slider to manually select a color
2. Enter a specific **HEX code** in the text box if you have an exact color in mind (e.g., `#FF5733` for a specific shade of orange)
