    Create Meeting Breakout Rooms

    Open Zoom's desktop app

    Click the "New meeting" button

    Click the "Breakout rooms" button (it may be found in the bottom panel or within the "More" options button)

    Choose the amount of breakout rooms you wish to create

    Assign Participants to Rooms

    Choose the assignation method that best suits you: - **Assign Automatically**: Allow Zoom to distribute your participants evenly across the breakout rooms. - **Assign Manually**: Select specific participants for each breakout room. - **Let Participants Choose Room**: Enable participants to independently select and join breakout rooms.

    Click the "Create" button to save changes

    Click the "Assign" button to choose the participants for each room

    Note: After a participant is assigned (either manually or automatically), the Assign button will be replaced with the number of participants in the room.

    Manage Breakout Rooms in Progress

    Click the "Breakout rooms" button and choose from all the available options

    **Rename**: Change the name of a breakout room by entering the new name

    Click "Yes" to save the changes

    **Add Room**: Create an additional breakout room

    **Recreate:** Reset or regenerate breakout rooms \ \ *Note: All existing rooms will be replaced*

    **Delete Room**: Remove an active breakout room - *Note*: *You can only delete a breakout room if it hasn’t been opened or if it’s already opened but has no participants in it*

    **Open all rooms:** Start the breakout sessions by sending participants into their assigned breakout rooms *Note:* Hosts and co-hosts remain in the main meeting room but can join any breakout room as needed

    **Join**: Enter a breakout room

    **Broadcast**: Hosts and co-hosts can send a message or broadcast audio to all breakout rooms - *Note*: *This feature must be enabled in your Breakout Room settings*
