    How to Create a Budget in Xero

    Navigate to your Xero Dashboard.

    Click "Accounting"

    Click "Reports"

    Scroll down and click on "Budget Manager"

    Change the "Start" field to reflect the start of the period for your budget. For example, if you were entering a monthly budget for the financial year ending 30 June 2024, the Start month would be July 2023.

    Update the "Actuals" column to reflect any actual figures you would like displayed.

    Click "Update"

    Click in each of the budget fields that you would like to populate. For example, if you only want to enter a sales budget, then enter the budget figures in each month next to the sales line.

    When you have entered all of your budgeted numbers, click "Save"
