**There are two main types of tasks available:** **🧑 Team Task:** This task is visible to the entire team and is removed from the schedule once completed. Usually, one person starts and finishes the task, but it can also be assigned to the whole team, with different members responsible for various sections. **🎓 Observed Task:** This task is visible only to Team Managers and is useful for assessing employee competency at a particular task. It involves a supervisor or manager observing an employee performing a specific task or skill. Observations are initiated by the supervisor or manager, and employees can enter their PIN at the end of the task to confirm their participation (this is optional). **🚫 Disabled:** If you choose to disable the task, it will prevent any staff from accessing or completing the check in the future. Rest assured, no information will be lost; all previous data related to the task will be retained for your records. Disabling the task can be useful if you want to pause the process or make changes without losing valuable information.

Obbi offers multiple ways for staff and managers to receive notifications. For example, you can set up an email to be sent when a task is completed, fails, or when a specific item within the task fails. You can use the same or different email addresses for each situation, depending on what suits your club. Additionally, you can notify a specific team within Obbi when a task or task item fails.

    14
Simply select the team from the drop-down list and choose how they’ll be notified: via an Obbi Alert or by email. Make sure the team members’ email addresses are set up and verified in their Obbi User Profiles.
    15
If a task fails because of a specific issue in a line item, it can be marked as a Corrective Action. You can then choose a team to be alerted via Obbi or email when this action is reported, using the options provided below.
    16
You may add **Task notes** to guide the user in completing the task successfully, e.g. “*This task should be performed daily to ensure smooth operations throughout the day".*\ \ This is also a great place to present any SOPs or safe working practices for your team, as they will see this information when using the Obbi Mobile App to perform their task. Effective knowledge sharing happens not just during annual training, but also at the point where work is happening. Using this feature of Tasks in Obbi is a great way to cover all bases.
