How to Create and Edit Geofences in Trakopolis

Click "Administration"

Click "Geofences" > "Geofences"

Here you are able to see all of your Geofences that have been created.

You can also easily access Geofence Groups or Geofence Attributes from here as well.
Create a Geofence

To create a new Geofence, click "Add Geofence"

Enter the name for your Geofence. This can be anything you would like, but we recommend making it something easily identifiable.

You Can either "Look up by address" or "Lat/Long", we will go ahead and look up by address.

Enter the address and click the correct address that appears.

Click "Search"

The address or lat/long you enter will appear on the map as a pink dot (see arrow).

Optional: You can enter a description of the geofence. We also recommend adding contact information related to the geofence especially if it is a job site, tuck yard, etc in case of emergencies.

Optional: you can attach a Job ID to the geofence.

You can adjust the line & fill color of your geofence.

Click the box and then select your color or enter your hex color code.

You can choose to create a circle (which is always the default) or a polygon, first we will look at the circle.

The center of your circle should already be on the map from when you searched the location (Steps 8-10). So you will want to click the distance of the radius away from the center point.

After clicking your Circle Geofence should appear.

Next let's look at a polygon. Click the "Polygon" field.

Draw your Polygon by clicking the corners of your polygon.

You can also have multiple shapes to define a geofence. For example, if one job site had multiple locations near each other and it was all considered one job site. Let's add a circle by clicking the "Circle".

Since my center point isn't there for me I am first going to select my center point on the map, then click my radius.

I will see all of my shapes appear on this list, with the option to delete the shape below it.

I can also set if the Geofence is visible (☑ Visible is on) on the map or visible to child divisions.

If you're happy with your Geofence, click Save!
Editing Geofences

Locate your geofence on the list or use the search box.

Click "Edit"

You can edit everything here just like you did when creating the Geofence. To remove a figure, select it in this list or on the map and click delete below it.

Once you have made all your changes be sure to click Save!

Should you just want to delete the geofence, on the geofence list, click "Delete"
