    How to Create and Use Gmail Templates for Email Filtering

    Navigate to your inbox.

    Paste the Phase One email into the composer.

    Click the three dots at the bottom.

    Go to 'Templates', then select 'Save draft as template'. NOTE: Because I've already made the template, I will simply select the one I've already created for this case.

    Now go to your search bar and click on the Filter icon on the left.

    Paste in the subject line. For us, we are filtering for the EXACT subject line: 'World-Class SDR Job Application'

    Click "Create filter"

    Next, click "Send template:"

    Choose the template we just created.

    Click "Create filter"

    That's it! Now, as you start to get application emails from prospective candidates, your inbox will automatically filter out the ones who do did not put the correct subject line and did not follow instructions correctly.
