How to Delete Selected Pages Prior to Indexing

This guide provides a straightforward process for efficiently deleting selected pages in the Tracker System for a multiple page fax, ensuring users can manage their indexing effectively. Following these steps will help streamline your workflow by eliminating unnecessary pages, and only indexing the needed pages to the patient(s).

Select your multi-page fax from the New Inbound Item worklist. In this example we have a two page document and only need page 1. Page 2 we will not be needing. **TIP: Do not index these yet, do this after you have deleted the unneeded pages.**

Click "Actions"

Select "Delete Selected Pages..."

Click the "Selected Pages" field.

Type in the pages that you want to delete. Example if you have a 15 page fax but only need pages 1, 3, 5, then enter 2,4, 6-15. In this example we do not need page 2 so we entered "2".

Click "Delete Pages". Archive Original is auto selected so you can leave that box and also make sure **Clear from List is un-checked** as shown in the example.

The system will archive the original and create a new transaction for you to then index. You may index from this screen or you can select the "New Inbound Items" Worklist. In this example I chose the work from the New Inbound Items Worklist.

The archived original will show which is in blue text. Highlight the original and choose "Clear from List" quick button. This will remove that item from the New Inbound Item Worklist. In this example this was tracking # 41372.

You may then start your indexing on the newly created document which in this example is tracking number "41373".
