How to Download and Process Sample Data from Nova

Navigate to [https://www.mapnova.com/](https://www.mapnova.com/)

Click "Learn"

Click "Get sample data"

Click "Download All"

After downloading the data, unzip the folder and you will see new folders of data within it, corresponding to each of the plugins you will process data in: - Colorfinder Sample Data - Full Motion Video Sample Data - Hotspots Sample Data - Orthomosaic Sample Data

Navigate to [https://app.mapnova.com/](https://app.mapnova.com/)

Click "Create Project"

First we will create the orthomosaic layer. \ \ Click the "Create Ortho Layer" button

It will prompt you to "Create Ortho"

Click "Add Files"

Navigate to the Sample Data Folder in your files, open the "Orthomosaic Sample Data - Nova" and select all the photos in the folder.

Your photos will stage in the upload modal, make sure that "Process after uploading is selected" and then Click "Upload Files"

The photos will begin uploading and automatically start processing once uploaded. Once complete the ortho will be available to turn on in the layer panel (left panel where it says "Orthomosaic 1" above.

Now we will process the Full Motion Video dataset

Click "Create Video Layer"

It will prompt you to "Import Video"

Click "Add Files"

Navigate to your Sample Data folder in your files, open the "Full Motion Video Sample Data - Nova" folder" and select both the .MP4 and the .SRT files from the folder.

Click "Upload Files". You will see both the .MP4 and the .SRT file are in the upload modal. The .SRT file is what provides the drones flight path, location, orientation and field of view box on the map.

Once the upload and processing is complete, the Video Layer will be available to be enabled in the layer panel.
