To begin, open your workbook in Excel.

Select the range you want to check for duplicates. This can be a single column/row, multiple columns/rows, or group of highlighted cells.

Click "Home" from the top menu ribbon.

Click "Conditional Formatting," then "Highlight Cells Rules," and click on "Duplicate Values..." to open a pop up window.
