      Begin by selecting the column you want to work with in your spreadsheet. To do this, locate the header at the top of the column, which is typically labeled with a letter (e.g., A, B, C), and click on it This will highlight the entire column, making it ready for any actions or modifications you’d like to apply

      Locate the top menu bar in your Google Sheets interface, and click on the "View" option

      From the dropdown menu that appears, scroll through the list of available options and locate "Freeze" Once you find it, click on "Freeze" to expand its submenu

      Choose how many columns you'd like to freeze

      Note: The number of columns you can freeze depends on the column you select initially. In this example, since I chose column B, the final option allows me to freeze up to column B. If I had selected column F instead, the last option would display as "Up to column F"
