    Moderation for Single Student

    1
From your Canvas course, enter the "Quizzes" section
    2
Click the title of the quiz you wish to moderate
    3
    Click "Moderate this Quiz"
    4
The list of students assigned this quiz will appear. Click the pencil at far-right of the student you wish to moderate
    5
The pop-up window allows you to give "Extra Attempts" and/or "Extra time on every attempt." You can provide both extra attempts and time to an individual student.

NOTE: The numbers you provide in this pop-up window are the EXTRA attempts or time, not the TOTAL attempts or time allotted. A common example of this is a double-time accommodation. In this current example, you'd provide "20" in minutes for a total of 20+20=40 minutes. If you provided "40" the student would get 20+40=60 minutes.

If you have several students who require the same quiz moderation, Canvas can moderate for all of them at once. Click the checkboxes at left of each student you wish to moderate. Note that the checkbox at top-left (highlighted below) will choose all students shown.

Once you've selected your set of students, click "Change Extensions for ## Selected Students" at bottom-left
