1
Make your way to the Energy Use Profile, select a utility and rate, and then click "Show Tax Details."
2
Here you can input taxes in two ways: as a $/kWh line item or as a percentage of the total bill.
3
For more complex taxes that need to be added at the rate level, find the rate you would like to add taxes to then click "Copy" to generate an editable custom rate.
4
Click into any of the Customer, Energy, or Demand charges.
5
Right-click the cells to add extra lines as needed. Any $/kWh taxes can be added here.
Make sure to convert taxes displayed in ¢/kWh to $/kWh. Taxes added to the group tax or total tax lines should be converted from a percentage to a decimal as well.
6
Taxes applied as a percent of the total bill can be added to the "Total Tax" line. Such taxes need to be inputted into the Total Tax line for all charge types (Customer, Energy, and Demand).
Tip! Don't forget to add taxes to all seasons if present!
